Chinese Heritage Camp Too was awesome again this year. I'm so glad they were more organized. It's getting better every year. I really thank God for that, hehe.
It was great this year, the counselor coordinator did a great job and they got us some new equipment. Usually, they give us visors and what not, but this year, they gave us counselors new nalgene bottles with the Heritage Camp logo on it. It's great. I still love the visors though, hehe. Maybe we'll get visors again for the Labor Day one, hehe. Whatever though, it's not about what we get, hehe. It's all about the kids.
They also got us counselors those arm bands that have been selling like crazy. They have one for like everything now, hehe. The one we got was "adoption=love". I still wear it to this day. I was really thinking about it the other day. My friend posted on her site about really seeing what love is during Heritage Camp because of the love you see from the parents to these kids from China. The love that the adults fly over to China to adopt these children from China. It's not exactly an inexpensive thing. The parents have to pay for their own plane ticket. They have to pay a certain amount of money per child and it's not even a guarantee they will get the child they are interested in adopting. There's a huge process that goes behind adoption that most people will never know about.
I was thinking about the arm band the other day with the whole love thing. Just the way these parents love their kids so much that they would fly around the world to adopt just even one. It made me see how much God also truly loves us, that He would send His ONLY begotten son to die for the whole world that He may adopt every single one of us into His family and so we can live in His kingdom forever. It just really reminded me of how much He loves me personally, but also how much He loves the whole world.
Here's some food for thought. This is really difficult to grasp, I know it was for me, but Praise God this is the truth. The God of this universe, esteems us...the human race higher than Jesus. If He didn't, Jesus wouldn't have been sent to die for us. God the Father sent Jesus to die because He esteems us higher than Jesus. Hard to believe, but it's the truth. Wow...that's some thick steak to digest, hehe.
Anyway, Mike wants his computer back, hehe. I was mostly just trying out his new laptop. It's pretty nice. The Centrino really helps the computer life and it doesn't heat up very fast at all. Very nice comp. =) Yay...Mike's back, hehe.
